11 Recruiting Solutions To Improve Your Hiring Process

As it has with many other parts of running a business, technology has granted business leaders the tools that can make recruiting a much simpler process. Today’s tech can help gather and sort applications, offer communication tools to ensure recruiters have a safe and secure location to speak with their potential hires and many of them even provide contract services that can help speed up onboarding.

But with so many options to pick from, these recruitment tools aren’t necessarily known to everyone. Below, 11 members of Young Entrepreneur Council discuss the most valuable software and solutions they use in their recruitment processes and why these tools help get the right talent into their businesses.

1. An Applicant Tracking System

An applicant tracking system, or ATS, is a recruiting solution that could greatly enhance the hiring process for your company. An applicant tracking system processes job applicants from postings, processes resumes and keeps track of interviews for an all-in-one solution so you can choose the best candidate for your company. – Stephanie Wells, Formidable Forms

2. BambooHR

We use BambooHR as it has a platform that helps manage various stages of the hiring process. It’s also a great HR management tool with a user-friendly interface. We can seamlessly move through different processes like creating job postings, sharing them, collecting applications and doing the onboarding process from the same place. – Syed Balkhi, WPBeginner

3. Indeed

I’d recommend Indeed. Its online tests and ability to filter applicants are perfect for us. Plus you can chat in an instant and you get more chances to be seen by applicants depending on location and other options. – Daisy Jing, Banish

4. LinkedIn Recruiter

I like to utilize LinkedIn. With LinkedIn alone, I can find the potential hire’s mutual contacts, education information, work experience and endorsements. The LinkedIn Recruiter feature is specifically helpful when I’m looking deeper into their background and also when searching for referrals. Additionally, it’s an option to automate parts of the hiring process to help narrow down your applicants. – John Rampton, Calendar

5. Recruiterbox

Recruiterbox is a web-based recruitment software solution used to help small and medium-sized businesses manage their operations. It comes with the tools you need to automate the hiring process and pick qualified candidates for your business. – Jared Atchison, WPForms

6. SignalHire

I’m a fan of SignalHire, a social profile aggregator which scrapes public data of job candidates across social media, GitHub and other professional sites. When you search up a candidate, all of their publicly available data, including their education level and work experience, pops up and is quickly accessible from any device. – Tyler Gallagher, Regal Assets

7. Spark Hire

Well before the pandemic, our business used Spark Hire to conduct remote video interviews. This software allowed us to interview candidates from all over the country, but it still felt like we were getting the traditional interview experience. This was how we were able to find the perfect fit for our company, and our new hire has continued to be an essential asset to our business. – Bryce Welker, CPA Exam Guy

8. Workable

Workable works well for us. It’s simple to navigate, and all the third-party integrations make it incredibly effective. The ability to integrate it with Google Workspace so all emails and events work seamlessly with the platform make it a breeze. Our recruiters love it and so do our hiring managers. – Myles Hunter, TutorMe

9. Workday

Workday is great because it’s convenient as far as scaling goes. If your business is growing, it will definitely help set you apart from the competition. Plus it has an a la carte function where you can purchase only the services that your company needs in terms of recruiting. – Andrew Schrage, Money Crashers Personal Finance

10. ZipRecruiter

I used ZipRecruiter to hire new team members in the past, and those team members are still with our company today. I found it easy to create a new listing, reach qualified candidates and sort through applications with their easy-to-use interface. – John Brackett, Smash Balloon LLC

11. Zoho Recruit

A piece of software or online program we’ve found especially useful is Zoho Recruit. This is an excellent program that helps with the online recruitment system, providing assistance to human talent staff in the management of resumes, candidates, clients and client contracts. – Kevin Leyes, Leyes Media & VVS, by Leyes Empire
